We made it through our first full week back at school! Students are working very hard on learning the procedures and expectations that we've established in the classroom. I enjoyed getting to see some of you at Open House! I will be sending forms home for those I did not see.
Important - ParentVue is your online portal to check your student's grades. As you know, 4th grade gives letter grades. I will be sending a ParentVue form home; if you would like to sign up, you can come to the front office, present your ID, and you will gain access to your student's grades.
Our Teach One to Lead One program begins on Wednesday! During this hour-a-week program, students will learn and practice character traits by watching videos, learning in small groups, and participating in in-school activities.
Target begins on Thursday this week (I think I had the date wrong in last week's email...my apologies).
Science - Moon phases and stars (color, size)
Math - Comparing and rounding numbers up to 1 million
Language - Sentence types (declarative, exclamatory, interrogative, imperative)
Reading - Continuing with "Love That Dog" and our unit on Poetry
Writing - Nonfiction and fiction narratives
This is our first week of math homework! I've posted the homework under the "homework" tab of our class blog: www.jcjulian2.weebly.com, along with a tutorial video for students and parents if needed.
Please let me know of any questions or concerns!
